Hash Tag is any word or letter prefixed with a single ’ # ’ symbol, when used online it represents a powerful way to track information, participate in conversations, share movements and spread memes. The first use of the term “Hash Tag” was in a blog by Stowe Boyd, in August 2007.

Hash Tags become popular during 2009–2010 Iranian election protests. On July 1, 2009, Twitter officially began to hyperlink all hashtags in tweets & one could search Twitter results for the hashtagged word. In 2010, Twitter introduced “Trending Topics” on the Twitter front page, displaying hashtags that are rapidly becoming popular on any given day. The trending topics can even be sorted by geographic area. Thus giving the user the power of understanding current affairs, internationally. This is how Twitter became very popular among  journalists.

Hashtags are enabled (Hyperlinked) mostly on sites where there is user engagement involved. The sites which supports Hashtags are Vine, Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr, Sine Weibo, Pinterest, Orkut, Linkedin,  Friendfeed, Instagram, etc. Facebook in 2013 joined this league of sites. One of the most funny use of Hashtags was with Political protest #OccupyWallStreet in 2010, where people use to suddenly gather at large number making Political protests, which sometimes went totally out of control. In Indian political scenario, today the most spoken hashtag is #NAMO, indicating Mr. Narendra Modi. The APPCO media of whose Mr. Modi is a client has extended this hashtag by mentioning location within it. Like #NAMOinBLORE, #NAMOinKERALA which was quite popular in Southern literate states.

I have seen many bloggers with their ever online active community make use of Hashtags & get their work done for poor customer service being provided by large companies. Sometimes Hashtags even do go wrong: #McDStories – was taken down by McDonald’s after they receiving numerous complaints. When a Hashtag becomes a part of any URL, it contributes for tracking & the part after # isn’t indexed by Search Engines. This technique is used by many sharing tools which we see on Websites & Blogs, say Share This buttons, thus even tracking the Share count apart from Analytics. When I had manually configured these buttons on my site instead of adding Plugin to decrease the load time of site. I got a bit confused with URL extension as my site was recently hacked.

I have brought the whole process of my error debugging into the form of a poem. Just the lines are rhyming & it’s not that big poem at all.  Lol, bridging the gap between Tech & Literature. Here it follows.

I had few doubts with my Site’s #EXECUTION.

That was with URL #EXTENSION.

As, I was worried about site’s #PROTECTION.

For which, I posted in certain forum for #SUGGESTION.

As always, they don’t like personal #INTERACTION.

So, they made a kind of #OBJECTION.

For which I said, there should be certain #EXCEPTION.

As, I doubted with a kind of Code #INJECTION.

Into the core of my site’s #PRODUCTION.

So, I explained that #INTERACTION,

 was a result of #CONJUNCTION,

to which it was my #REACTION.

I asked them, did they get the purpose of my #INTERACTION.

Few said it is total #CONFUSION.

Others as usual blamed me to be #DISTRACTION.

I said; please don’t go with further Post #EXPANSION.

Which may Result in my Forum #SUSPENSION.

Which may further lead to a kind of a Free Support’s #INTERRUPTION.

I need your all #JUTIFICATION.

With the issue in #DISCUSSION.
